Two single engine aircraft were involved in a midair collision over Alaska, north of Anchorage. This happened around 1pm on January 31. Amazingly, neither of the 2 pilots died (There were no passengers). They did sustain moderate to severe injuries, but were transported to the hospital.
The NTSB tweeted out:
NTSB is investigating an accident involving two Piper PA -18 airplanes that collided in Wasilla, AK today.

The crash investigation is still in the early stages, but most importantly, there were no deaths.
