Amazon Prime Air

Amazon now has a new way to get packages to their prime members as fast as possible. They have revealed their first Boeing 767-300 in Amazon branding. The airplane itself will be operated by cargo carrier Atlas Air. The online shopping giant will eventually get 40 airplanes to be able to rely less on its shipping partners like UPS and FedEx.

Dave Clark, Senior VP of Worldwide Operations at Amazon had this to say about the new fleet,

I’m very excited to introduce Amazon One, a Boeing 767-300 that is our first ever Amazon branded plane which will serve customers by adding capacity to support one and two day package delivery in the US. Adding capacity for Prime members by developing a dedicated air cargo network ensures there is enough available capacity to provide customers with great selection, low prices and incredible shipping speeds for years to come.

This fleet of airplanes will create a dedicated air cargo network to assure customers with the greatest selection and low prices.
