ANA Receives 50th Boeing 787 Dreamliner

All Nippon Airways (ANA) receives delivery of the airline’s 50th Boeing 787 Dreamliner and will become the first airline to operate 50 Boeing 787s. A ceremony was held today at Boeing’s Everett Delivery Center.

The 787 Dreamliner has played a significant role in opening up new routes into new markets, while also forming the backbone of our long-haul fleet.

— Osamu Shinobe, President and CEO of ANA

ANA was the launch customer of the Boeing 787 when it purchased 50 aircraft in 2004. The airline was also the first to bring the aircraft into service back in 2011. Currently, ANA operates more than 11% of 787s in the world today and an estimated 125,000 flights.

The 50th Boeing 787 for ANA was also recently showcased at the Farnborough Airshow, demonstrating a high-performance routine that wowed attendees in person and on the internet.
