Debris Found Confirmed to be Part of MH370.

August 5 15:16CDT Update:

The piece of debris that was found on Reunion Island has been identified as part of the missing MH370. This is the first piece of the Boeing 777 that disappeared over one year ago with 239 people on board.

Investigators examined the piece Wednesday in a laboratory near Toulouse, France. More checks will be made to get a conclusive answer if the piece is in fact the flaperon of the 777.

The piece of debris that washed up on Reunion island has made it to a laboratory in France where it will be examined. Boeing and the NTSB are also sending agents to the lab.

The goal of the investigations are to see if the plane part is in fact from MH370.

Boeing investigators have said that the debris found on Reunion Island look like a 777 component and a number on the object found corresponds to a Boeing 777 component.

Boeing and US Investigators still want to examine the piece themselves while French investigators also want to move them a lab for examination. This information is still very early and could still change.

July 29 20:37CDT Update:

According to a source close to the investigation, the debris found looks like the flaperon of a Boeing 777, the type of plane that MH370 was operated on.

All this information is very early and it hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Debris from an unidentified aircraft have washed up on shore of Reunion island, a French department in the western Indian Ocean. The island is located just east of Madagascar in Africa.

The debris, which are most likely part of the wings, have not been contected to the March 8, 2014 disappearance yet as it is way to early.

The Malaysia Boeing 777 took of from Kuala Lumpur bound for Beijing and disappeared. After long investigations officials determined that it went down somewhere in the Indian Ocean, but the plane still hasn’t been found.

This may be the first piece of evidence so far.
