Qantas’ Profits and Dreamliner Orders

Qantas has announced a  $975 million annual pre-tax profit. This is significant compared to a $646 million loss a last year. Due to this, Qantas will give out 505 million, or 23¢ a share, to shareholders, in early November. This is Qantas’s biggest profit since 2008. In 2008 it had a profit of 1.8 billion.

Qantas has ordered eight 787-9 Dreamliners, which will be delivered in 2017. The dreamliners will eventually an aging 747-4 fleet. Qantas originally placed their order 10 years ago but they haven’t commented till now.
