On August 2, 2016, Samsung officially announced the long awaited Galaxy Note 7 at an event in New York City. The new phone has many improvements over the previous model, with an new S PEN and better display just to name a few.

One of the main revamps for the Galaxy Note 7 is the new stylus, the S PEN. Some of the new features are being able to take screen shots of scrolling documents, create GIFs of videos, and translate text. Features

The device has a IP68 water resistance rating, which translates to being up to 5 feet underwater for up to 30 minutes. This means that any spills should have no effect on the phone as long as its wiped dry. Samsung also markets this as being able to take notes even in the rain with the water resistant S PEN.

The phone also supports the NFC based Samsung Pay, now marketed as the most widely accept form of mobile pay.

In addition, Samsung is using the fairly new USB-C cable for charging and faster data transfer. USB-C is a reversible connecter so there is no wrong way to connect it.
