Apple Announces September 7th Special Event

Apple has officially announced the date for its next special event, Wednesday, September 7, 2016. The event will begin at 10am Pacific Time. As previous events it will be held at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium. It will be live streamed at: http://www.apple.com/apple-events/september-2016/.

Expectations

The event is mainly expected to be the official announcement of the iPhone 7. There are many rumors up in air including: no headphone jack, a dual camera system, higher storage capacity, and a better battery. There is also talk that the iPhone 7 might become the first iPhone officially labeled water proof or resistant. All these rumors should be confirmed or debunked on the 7th.

Other than the iPhone 7, there is talk that Apple may announce an Apple Watch 2 and/or updates to the Macbook Pro line. The September Apple events are also usually the final time the latest macOS and iOS releases are previewed before their release. iOS10 and macOS Sierra were previously announced at WWDC2016 in June earlier this year.

You can also vote in our Twitter poll on what you think will be announced at the event other than the iPhone 7. Voting ends on 23:20 UTC on 8/31:
