Bamboo Airways Announces Order for 10 Boeing 787 Dreamliners

Bamboo Airways has confirmed an order of 10 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The order is valued at $3 billion with list prices.  With the Dreamliner, Bamboo will be able to connect Vietnam with a wide variety of destinations, including Asia, Europe, and North America.

The order was previously committed in June 2018 but was unidentified on Boeing’s website of orders and deliveries.

Bamboo Airways was founded in 2017, linking the capital of Vietnam to various other domestic destinations. The airline hopes to add an additional 40 domestic routes throughout the year and has plans to launch international routes. The airline currently operates 7 different Airbus A320 family aircraft.

The Boeing 787 Dreamliner is the company’s ultra-efficient long-haul aircraft. The aircraft is designed for airlines to fly from destination to destination with the lowest cost possible. Nearly 800 Dreamliners have been delivered and currently operate around the world.
