Boeing vs. Airbus Q12015 Orders and Delivers

Well both aviation giants have released their statistics for the first quarter of 2015. Here is a breakdown on how each did in gross orders, net orders, and deliveries.

Gross Orders:

  • Airbus has said that it gross booked orders for 121 aircraft for Q1 (January-March).
  • Boeing fell slightly behind with 116 gross orders booked for Q1.

Net Orders:

When cancellations are calculated into the equation, the net orders are found:

  • Airbus fell to 101.
  • Boeing fell to 110, beating Airbus for net orders.

Deliveries:

  • Airbus delivered a total of 134 plane delivers in Q1, which included an a350 and 4 a380
    • Airbus had 141 deliveries in Q1 2014.
  • Boeing delivered a higher number of 184 airplanes partly to a sharp jump in 787 deliveries.
    • Boeing had 161 deliveries in Q1 2014.

To conclude, the two giants had pretty similar numbers when it comes to orders, but Boeing defiantly pulled ahead this quarter in terms of deliveries.
