As the investigation of what caused the crash begins, Boeing has sent an advisory team. Official statement:
SEATTLE, August 3, 2016 – Regarding Emirates Airline flight EK521, under the direction of the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, Boeing is launching a team and will serve as a technical advisor supporting the investigation led by the United Arab Emirates General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA).
In accordance with the international protocol governing aviation accident investigations, all inquiries about the investigation must be directed to the GCAA.

Sad news out of Dubai, a fire fighter battling the fiery aftermath of the EK251 has passed away. Fire firefights were putting out the massive fire after EK251 crashed landed, but all passengers and crews got out safely.
The head of Emirates Group, Ahmed bin Saeed, held a press conference on the crash. They are handling the entire incident with transparency.

During the afternoon of August 3rd, 2016, Emirates flight EK521 from Trivandrum International Airport in Thiruvananthapuram, India to Dubai, UAE had a crash landing in Dubai. The flight was operated by a Boeing 777-300 aircraft (Registration A6-EMW). Data from the the flight tracking website FlightRadar24 shows the aircraft started to gain altitude shortly before the crash, which signifies to a failed go-around. Fortunately, all 282 passengers and 18 crew were able to safely evacuate and there were no fatalities. This points to the capability of the 777 and the fast thinking of the crew.
