Mauritania Airlines Finalizes Order for One Boeing 737-800 NG

Mauritania Airlines and Boeing have finalized an order for a single Boeing 737-800 Next-Generation (NG) aircraft, which is valued at $96 million USD at current list prices.

Mohamed Radhy Bennahi, Mauritania Airlines CEO explains why the 737 is important to the airline.

The Boeing 737 is the backbone of Mauritania Airlines fleet because of its efficiency and superior operating economics.

Mauritania Airlines’ new Boeing 737-800 NG will feature the Boeing Sky Interior, which was inspired from the Boeing 787 Dreamliner cabin. Passengers will be able to enjoy a sense of more space with sculpted sidewalls, larger window reveals, LED mood lighting, and larger pivoting overhead stowage bins.

Mauritania Airlines is an important airline in West Africa for several years, and one additional Boeing 737-800 NG puts the airline in a better position as a leading carrier of the area.

Based in Nouakchott, the capital city of Mauritania, the flag-carrier airline operates a fleet of one Boeing 737-700 NG and two Boeing 737-500s.
