Virgin Galactic was awarded an operator license from the Federal Aviation Administration after years of work in achieving this goal.

The license will allow commercial operations of the vehicle, SpaceShipTwo.

The review process to be granted an operator license included safety reviews, system designs, and flight trajectory analysis.

SpaceShipTwo also achieves first taxi

Another major milestone for the program was the first taxi of the aircraft. Towed by a Range Rover, Virgin Galactic’s automotive partner, Virgin Galactic is one step closer to flight testing.
