United Airlines has has the honor to be the operator of the Dreamliner’s longest route. Using their brand new Boeing 787-9 (larger than the original 787-8) they operate flights from Los Angeles to Melbourne, Australia. The route is 7,920 miles (6,855 nautical miles) long. This makes flight time on the 787-9 15:10 on average.

United’s 787-9s have 252 seats which includes: 48 lie-flat business-class seats, 88 Economy Plus seats and 116 in standard coach.
