Intrepid Aviation celebrates their first Boeing 777-300ER delivered that is leased to and operated by Philippine Airlines. From a total of four aircraft, this is the first direct order Intrepid has with Boeing.
We are excited to accept our first new aircraft from Boeing. This 777 delivery to Philippine Airlines underlines Intrepid’s continuous focus on investment into new aircraft on long-term leases with well established, strong airlines worldwide.”
– Olaf Sachau, Intrepid Aviation’s CEO
Philippine Airlines turns 75 as well, becoming the longest operating airline in Asia.
The new Boeing 777-300ER is intended to fly routes to North America. A second aircraft is expected by the end of the year.
The Boeing 777-300ER is powered by the GE90-115B, the most powerful commercial jet engine ever built. The aircraft seats up to 396 passengers in three classes with a maximum flying range of 7,825 nautical miles.
A privately held commercial aircraft lessor, Intrepid Aviation leases aircraft to airline operators worldwide and has a focus on twin-engine aircraft.
